Regions, chakras and PTC

The Yoga of the Descent · Branch VII · Grace and the living body

“A region says where something becomes visible. It does not say what it is, why it happens or what it means.”From Yoga del Descenso · Libro de la Morada

“I lost my footing.” “I have a knot in my stomach.” “My throat closed up.” “I feel a weight on my chest.” “I finally see it clearly.” You already spoke this map long before you studied any tradition. We all speak it. It is the way we tell what we live.

The Libro Puerta, the Door Book, began there, with five broad regions: the base, the belly, the chest, the throat, and the head and forehead, which form a single region. Not because the body comes divided into five spiritual departments, but because that is how we speak when something happens to us. In this Part that simple map meets more technical ones: the chakras, the marmas and the Puntos de Transformación Cuántica, the Quantum Transformation Points. I want to show you how they can all look at the same body without silencing one another.

A map you already spoke

A region answers a very simple question: where does what I am living become especially noticeable? The base includes pelvis, legs, feet and contact with the ground. The belly gathers abdomen and stomach. The chest offers a language for warmth, grief, spaciousness or pressure. The throat lets you place changes of voice, silence or tension. And the head and forehead hold experiences of clarity, saturation, focus or perceptual opening.

The map also includes a decisive freedom: not to locate. Some experiences occupy several regions, others spread through the whole body, and others have no recognizable address. Saying “I don't know where I feel it” can be more accurate than forcing a box.

The regions are neighborhoods, not floors. The base is no less spiritual than the forehead, and the belly does not need to justify its dignity before the crown. If the Flame descends to live as form, every region able to host life takes part in the mystery. And nothing that comes after takes this language away from you: you can travel the whole Yoga of the Descent saying chest instead of Anāhata and base instead of Mūlādhāra.

Each language in its own house

It would not have been wise to begin with a table of centers and points. First we had to learn to describe before interpreting, to recognize that intensity verifies nothing, to protect consent and to admit that a resemblance does not create an identity.

Now we can lay several maps on the same table. Regions locate where something is noticed. The levels of consciousness name which human capacity is taking part. The chakras belong to specific traditions of yoga and tantra. The marmas, to the classical lineage of Ayurveda. The PTC, to this project's own system. And clinical anatomy, to medicine. All of them can look at the same body. None of them gains, by that, the right to speak for the others.

A chakra, within its tradition, is much more than “the green dot of the heart”: it can be a center of contemplation, a station of practice, the place of a deity and a mantra, the node of an entire cosmology. And although the familiar scheme has seven centers and the Codex has seven levels, they are not the same map under another name. One example shows it: in this system Affective Integration is expressed as Water–Fire, while many traditional readings associate Anāhata with Air. That difference is not a mistake to be corrected. It is evidence that the two maps are asking different questions.

A coordinate, not a button

The Quantum Transformation Points have roots in another ancient map, that of the marmas of Ayurveda, whose classical sources describe one hundred and seven vital locations. The PTC system acknowledges that lineage, but does not claim that those texts taught the practices this project is building. That is why its public names are functional and in Spanish: Punto del Suelo, Punto del Pecho, Punto de la Palma, the Point of the Ground, of the Chest, of the Palm. Honoring the source means telling where a location comes from without putting in the tradition's mouth what it never said.

I want to open the name with you, word by word, because each word can inflate if we leave it alone. Point means coordinate, not a hidden button or an anatomical switch. Transformation names the intention of the work, not a guarantee: real transformation is examined afterwards, in life. And quantum belongs to the system's proper name; it does not claim that physics has proven these points.

A PTC locates a practice. It does not prove a mechanism. It does not guarantee a result.

You can think of a PTC as a door of incarnation, as long as you remember what that does not mean. It is not a sluice gate through which the Flame flows in like a liquid. It is a meeting place, where attention, intention, sound, breath and body can come together. The catalog gathers fifty-one PTC types, and there is no need to “work all fifty-one”: there is no passport you have to get stamped point by point.

A PTC does not tell you what you have. Not feeling the Punto del Pecho does not mean your heart is closed. And if warmth, a sigh or a tingling appears while you practice, remember a law that protects you as much from exaggerating as from dismissing: after does not mean because of. Describe without converting. “I felt warmth in my palm for two minutes” is a fact. “Since then I have been able to state a limit with less fear” is a change in life that deserves to be observed.

The body can say no

The system does not require you to touch for a practice to be valid. Directing your attention is already a complete practice. When contact is allowed, it is gentle, superficial, comfortable, painless. Some points are kept without contact, and some areas are worked with awareness alone. The word point does not authorize touching just anywhere.

And consent begins in your relationship with your own body. You may have decided to practice and discover that today your body does not want contact or intense concentration. That information does not sabotage the process; it is part of it. A yes at the beginning does not oblige the body to hold what has stopped being comfortable.

The body can say: yes. Not yet. No.

When you work with another person, consent has to be explicit, informed, specific and revocable. Neither trust, nor relationship, nor a spiritual interpretation of unity replaces the question. And whoever says no does not have to justify it: a no is a complete boundary.

This is not something added to spirituality from outside. It is a consequence of the doctrine. If the form is a dwelling and not an obstacle, it cannot be violated in the name of what seeks to become incarnate in it. The Flame does not need to betray the body in order to live as a body.

That is why, if a practice brings you pain, dizziness, panic or disorientation, it stops: you open your eyes, feel the ground, come back to your surroundings and, when appropriate, ask for help. A symptom is first described, then cared for and, when needed, evaluated clinically. Closing is also practice.

The region locates. The level organizes the function. The chakra keeps a tradition. The PTC offers a coordinate. And the body keeps the last word.
